Hi,

When I request for password reminder, it sent me an email with blank password. Can anyone help me with this? Is there something I need to setup in order to make this work? Thanks.

Ronny, hi. There should be a patch for this under patches and hot fixes on Snowcovered. If now open a support ticket, I know we have this fixed up.

Hmm.. mine is getting all asterisks. I installed the patch from snowcovered with no change. BTW my patch installation was to just install the module, presumably it overwrote the old files in the desktopmodules folder. Following is a snip from the email I get..

Username: msweetnam

Password: *******

Verification Code: 0-9

Authorized: [Membership:Approved]

I'm having a similar issue as the original poster. My issue comes in when my registration is private using (Dynamic Registration) and I go in and Authorize that user the welcome email is showing a blank password.

Any ideas? Thank you Jon

Hmm... In this situation is the user an Administrator? If so I am not sure DNN sends out Admin Passwords.

If you add them sepeartly from Dynamic Registration then it might be an issue specific to your DNN installation.

You might check out this post on DotNetNuke directly.

I would first start by making sure that this happens independently from Dynamic Registration so that you can take that out of the equation. Just setup a standard user under Admin, User Accounts and then see if sending that password works ok.

Is there a hotfix available for v2.3 of the module? Trying to resolve the same issue on an old site of ours.

Hi. Well the latest version of Dynamic Login is actually 2.2. You can open a support ticket and we can get this to you.

Ah oops. My mistake. We're actually using Dynamic Registration, not login. Didn't notice the forum this thread was in. Got to it through a search.

Essentially, I'm having the same issue, but with accounts created using Dynamic Registration

So is the message coming from Dynamic Login then or Dynamic Registration? So the user registers, do they receive this email after registration in the standard login module?

What version of DotNetNuke are you running on?

There is also a password reminder feature if they enter their same email address and you have that setting turned on in module configuration. Is the password reminder email coming directly from Dynamic Registration?
