I have several pages to which members are directed depending on the role assigned at the time of registration.

I have added role rules, which designate which page each role is to be directed to. The first one I entered works fine. No other rule I've added since will redirect and instead dumps the user onto the default page (home page)

The permissions for the member pages are identical. The rules are identical except for the page. The users are set up the same differing only in what primary role they have. The priority for each of the roles is set to 10. A user has only a single role for which there is a redirect rule in place.

I am at a lose to determine why one rule functions and no other rule I add does. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Peter,

From my experience, each rule needs a unique priority set.

Yes... Even though it shouldn't be required because the user might only have one of the roles in the rule roles I believe they each have to have their own unique priority. I would make them distinct (i.e. 100, 200, 300, etc...)

I'm stuck. I have a special page I need to redirect users to - based on role. I've configured a rule for this role, made sure the role had permissions to view this page. Upon login (using the Dynamic Login page), the user is taken to the home (default page) - not the special page. I can't see what could be wrong. Is there anything I'm missing?

Hi. A couple things...

1. What version of Dynamic Login are you using?
2. Are you using a admin or super user account? If so redirection URL's are not specified or setup for those
3. You must (although it shouldn't be this way) specify a priority such as 100 or 200 for the role rule, if you don't it might not work properly.
4. Do you have the setting turned on to 'always redirect to previous URL'?

1) 10071_2604_DataSprings_DynamicLogin_Version22_DNN44Plus_EnterpriseEditionInstallPA

2) No - I have a special role created and a user assigned to that role. I have a role rule set up for that role to direct to a special page.

3) I have.

4) No.

Thanks for your attention

Hi... Ok, well those are all good answers

Please open a support ticket or click the contact us button. I think I know what is causing the issue on the Enterprise PA and have an updated installation file for you.
