Hi,

 We have Stock quote module on one of our web sites and since past 3 weeks its not working.

Its displaying exception occured. is there a way to fix it.

Probably web service being used to get the info is not working??

I checked the url specified, which doesn't seems to work.

http://www.betasprings.com/dataspringsstocksearch.asmx

Please help me to fix this problem, its very urgent.

I'm running to the same issue. I checked the event log and the error is as follows. Is there something we can do to prevent this issue?

Message: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at com.betasprings.www.YahooQuoteWebService.GetQuote(String symbol) at DataSprings.DNN.Modules.StockTicker.StockTicker.rptSymbols_ItemDataBound(Object sender, RepeaterItemEventArgs e)

Hi,

  if you send a request to dataspring admin(Support team), they will send you a zip file for the updates.

 

install this update and go into the settings and set your stock quote web service URL to the follow address:
 

http://yoursite.com/desktopmodules/stock quotes/DataSpringsStockSearch.asmx i have the zip file but there is no option to upload the file.
