I currently use the Initial Rendering/Bind feature to populate most of my form data when the page/form loads.  I am curious if there was a way to use that type of functionality more than once within the same form.  I am looking to retrieve detail information (like customer details) that would be returned from a question event and stored in hidden questions.  Right now the only way I know how to do this is to create individual stored procedures or sql statements and set the defualt value for each question.  I have over 10 hidden questions that I need to populate default values for and it is not very efficent to make over 10 calls to the db when the values come from the same record/row in the db.  Any ideas?

Hi. I don't believe currently there is a feature that would allow for this. So this is using a question event and then setting the default value within the 'SQL Default' or using the question event to set the default?

Maybe a nice enhancement down the road would be the ability for a new question event for SQL Binding for new fields? This way you could create a new SQL binding feature for each question event?

Chad,

Think of a list of customers in a dropdown list. When you select a customer from the list, it would be nice to populate default values with name, address, city, state, etc....with one stored procedure/query/event.

Your idea of SQL binding for each question event is exactly what I am looking for!

Thanks,
Troy
