Hi,

While evaluating Dynamic Registration module, I have noticed to the following problem:

Inserting characters in Hebrew to any dynamic response results to a "????" string in my DB. Trying to query  DynamicRegistration_QuestionResponse table with any encoding method does not help.

The wired point is that only the module itself can "read" the DB and present the correct string.

Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Moshe

Moshe,

Hi. Well the trial version doesn't actually always include all known patches and hot fixes so you might want to test this on BetaSprings.com to see if its happening there.

Also, what field type is this? Under advanced field settings is it 'linked' to a DNN Core profile field? If so you might check the userprofile table and see if the characters are coming in properly there.

Hi Chad, thanks for your reply.

I found the reason to the problem: The parameter @Response at DynamicRegistration_UpdateDynamicResponse is defined as varchar, while Response field at DynamicRegistration_QuestionResponse is defined as nvarchar.. Changing the parameter to nvarchar has solved the problem. I believe I earned the right to get one free copy of the full version module, isn't it?

Funny

We will have this fixed for future releases though (if its not already as the trial version is not always the most up to date)
