Hi everyone. I just wanted to post the first topic in this forum. The release date for the News Ticker Web Part for MOSS 2007 / Sharepoint 2007 is currently set for April 15th. If we have a pre-release or beta ready then we will make it avaliable. This release will also initially be a free web part for Sharepoint as our other web parts have been. The news ticker will function both vertically and horizontally and also allow the user to optionally speed up or slow down the ticker based on some arrow icons. Other settings will include the ability to set the speed of the ticker, background/foreground fonts and colors, and also have the ability to work not only as a news ticker but also as a marquee scroller web part. -Chad

Do you have an updated release date for this web part? I'm very interested in seeing how I might apply this to my SharePoint site (I've had more than a few business partners ask about this capability). Matthew

Hi. This will be released by the end of July. You can already see a working demo now at sharepointdemo.datasprings.com.
