I am undeserving of being honored by such a great company as Data Springs, but the concept of the site we have developed, for helping entrepreneurs and small businesses, is very worthy. You probably shouldn't have us win, because we are going to sing your praises anyway:)

Scope of Project: Total redesign of the web site to meet the following business goals:
- easy to use account registration (via Dynamic Registration) with custom Role assigned based on enrollment question and html-formatted welcome email.
- ability for end-users to have multiple accounts tied to one Email address. We used Dynamic Login (with some custom jQuery Ajax calls) to make this work. As an example, if you go to the Login page and enter my email address, the DL page will automatically present a drop-down with items that match my email address (I can provide more info if needed).
- interactive pages (such as the My Elf page)
- standard CMS functions.
- handle very heavy load (4Q traffic).

Dynamic Login & Dynamic Registration is a core part of the site. We had several Use Cases we needed to solve (new accounts, legacy accounts, users with single accounts, users with multiple accounts, etc.).
We added some jQuery Ajax methods to the Dynamic Login form. These ajax methods looked up the entered Email address and depending on the results (0, 1, 1+) it allowed the user to "think" they were logging in with just an email address and password for any of their accounts. Behind the scenes, the Ajax method concatenated the email address and returned value and set the DL username to that value.
What other 3rd party modules did you integrate with the Data Springs modules?
Netism Map, in-house designed shopping cart
Why do you feel that you should win? The most important question! (250 words or less):
Our client's site has had a huge amount of traffic during the last few weeks (> 70,000 page-views per day). A couple of times in the last few days the site has had over 1,000 account registrations per hour!
We relied on the Dynamic Registration and Dynamic Login modules to handle the login and registration data.

There are 4 main workflows that integrate with our ownership database
Registration
-------------------------------
User Supplies "Registration Code" and "Registration Password" and is validated against the external database using the SQL Validation. After Validated a stored procedure is run to initiate membership in appropriate groups and subscribe them to alerts using the DMX Document manager. Owners are sent an email with registration info using completion events.
-------------------------------
Users login via Email, then stored procedure is used to synchronize ownership database with DNN Profile. Used for loading and editing Owner contact info. Then Proper Group Membership is applied if their status has changed in the ownership database (ie If they have sold their condo they will be removed form the strata owner group and placed in a past owner group, or if they have been elected to council or have stepped off their group membership is updated accordingly.) This makes the website self maintaining, and has reduces a huge manual process.
User Import
-------------------------------
CSV Exported from Ownership Database, Imported into System, custom procedures are run to initiate the user, Email sent with login information to owners
Ownership Editing (Dynamic forms / Registration)
-------------------------------
Forms are preloaded with data from external database, help pop ups are employed, Data validation is applied, and then Stored procedures are used to update the external database, Success message given to User (Vehicles, Owner Info, Emergency Contacts, Council Privacy Options, Update Password)
What other 3rd party modules did you integrate with the Data Springs modules?
DMX, DNN Razor,
Why do you feel that you should win? The most important question! (250 words or less):
The forms used are not the sexiest and do not use all the awesome features of Reg/Forms. However using the datasprings products has allowed one man to rapidly create a portals for 500 Stratas and potentially 35,000 owners with a minimum of custom programming.
This job was all about volume, we have launched about 200 portals and will be launching the remainder early in the new year. Each Portal uses at least 9 Datasprings modules (not including customized forms for Stratas that we will be be able to rapidly roll out for specific Strata for data entry processing) for approximately 4500 instances of Datasprings modules on our DNN install.
Without Datasprings, this project would have cost much more to develop and replaced a commercial and far inferior website, with less than half of the available features, that cost upwards of $16,000 a year to license.

Since I took this job 2 years ago. I have found the DataSprings team has provided excellent support and product line that is hard to beat. The 5.0 collection is something that every DNN user should have it contains just about every module one would need to create a robust site for just about any industry.
Thanks for the help up to this point! Fingers crossed!

DropDown Login allows the user to easily login without going to the Dynamic Login page.
Dynamic Login allows the user to easily login with their regular account or Facebook connect.
Dynamic Registration allows the capture of important information such as state (with critical validation), terms and conditions (checkbox), where did you hear about us, and a fancy captcha. The Dynamic Registration page (My Account) also allows input of address.
Dynamic Forms is used throughout: Deposits (Authorize.net, Paypal, and Check), Withdrawals (Check, Paypal), and throughout the website.
Dynamic Views is used for displaying the user transactions. It's an extremely detailed view so the user gets a good idea exactly where their money and free plays have been used, won, lost, and received.
Opt-in E-mail is getting introduced within the next 2 weeks to more easily handle the e-mail campaigns The Sports Parlor requires.

Scope of Project: We needed to create online insurance applications for our business products (professional liability, property, workers' compensation) that closely matched the paper version that is filed with the Department of Insurance. The forms are quite lengthy and somewhat complex - many questions, multiple question events, multiple form completion events, and some SQL validation.
The Dynamic Login module was used to direct the business unit right to a summary page of all forms and View Entries link upon login, so that they could quickly and easily look at submissions online.
Originally, we had also used the Tailored Text module in conjunction with the forms - we were directing the applicant to a separate page after submission and wanted to use personalization in the message on that page. This option has now been removed and we are just using a Display After Save message for simplicity.

They are mainly just extensive forms, utilizing many different features available in the module - validation SQL query running stored procedures, calculating totals, adding commas to numbers, creating 2 PDFs on completion.

And really, any of the more complex things that I have done were just begged, borrowed and stolen - from researching in the forums and looking at the demos on the Data Springs site. So I guess I'm just an honorable mention because I ASPIRE to greatness!? :) And because we have helped to get the Telerik file upload and Save for Later enhancements in place... :)

We are firm believers in DataSprings Modules. We've been using them for the past several years and appreciate their flexibility and ease of use. Your tech support is fabulous.
This web project shows how these modules can create a process that captures our clients data, integrates with the DNN framework, assigns a DNN role, submits e-mail to the user and admin and then redirects to the shopping cart in the proper category for an entrant to purchase online.
The proof is in the pudding. Five times the number of registrants in their first year of online registration / purchase.
None of this would have been possible in their budget range without the DataSprings Modules.

other modules used in site but no direct integration...I don't think.
Why do you feel that you should win? The most important question! (250 words or less):
I would like to win only because I am a novice at this. I'm sure under the hood there could be more elegant programming but I basically pushed the functionality with what I knew. Forums on DS were very helpful especially with mail issues in 5.1 and for schemes on how to pass data to the tailored text fields. Your modules are well documented and I was able to figure out how I needed them to work even though I do not know anything about SQL, which would have helped I think.
I could use an honest assessment of what I have done and suggestions. I'll accept that in lieu of first place.
I used this site to learn the basics of DNN and am preparing to design and launch another site that will have serious business implications for me, A Yacht Services Directory. I probably need some further guidance here and would love an opportunity to chat about it with you.
Thanks for making the modules that allowed me to accomplish what I have. Our community really likes what they have in this website. (Who am I to burst that bubble)

The Dynamic Forms/Registration was used in a variety of custom manors. All the forms post to a silent URL used for post processing rules. Every 24 hours, a sub-process moves all the form entries from their native tables into reporting tables. With millions of forms already entered this keeps the speed of saving and processing the data up while also providing some roll-up, custom indexes and other enhancements for reporting on the form data. In addition the raw form definition is also extracted and used to create SenchaTouch javascript forms for mobile presentation. This is effectively a custom rendering engine for Dynamic Forms in the SenchaTouch library.
What other 3rd party modules did you integrate with the Data Springs modules?
Open Web Studio, jQuery, Dojo
Why do you feel that you should win? The most important question! (250 words or less):
The scope of use of Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Registration automates large amounts of leads, assigns new users as 'administrators' of newly created portals on-the-fly. It also provides cross-portal and mobile specific implementations; representing the cutting edge of web design. Data Springs tools are the heart of a system that have provided millions of requests for jobs, services, and business ownership. The modules were easy to extend into enterprise level reporting and automation processes. In a nutshell this implementation isn't a 'website' solution, is it a core piece of a nearly a thousand inter-connected franchise sites all centrally managed from two Data Springs modules on one code-base.
