How do I configure DR so that the Display Name is created by Adding the First Name to the Last Name?

I can't quite seem to get this going so it'll behave like the vanilla [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME] used in "Display Name Format" in "Users Settings" of User Account management.

Hi Joseph - Within our module there is a feature where if you do not specify a "Display Name" under DNN Core Integration - The module will automatically make the Display Name the combination of the users First and Last name.

    Thanks!

    Chad,

Should I have a "Display Name" visible on the main form? Should I leave the Core integration field for "Display Name" to the blank default value?

    Thanx,

    Jospeh

Hi - No, in this case you would not need to have the Display Name there.

    Thanks,

I have a DR form with First Name and Last Name. The form doe NOT have Display Name.

In the DR DNN Core Integration the Display Name field is set to "- Select Dynamic Field -"

When I change the first or last name an click "Update Registration" the display name is not being updated. The First and Last Name do get changed though.

However in the vanilla DNN profile page, if I change the first or last name the Display Name is being updated to [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME]

Hi Joseph - This feature only works for new registration and does not work for updated registrations. You might be able to do this with a SQL Event if you really needed to make this happen for updated registrations.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Chad,

Is there a way to use some java to force this change with a hidden Display Name field within DR? I'd like to try and keep the business logic out of the DB.

    Thanks!
