generate GUID for text box

I am using dynamic registration and i want to generate a GUID for each user. I have tried using SELECT NewID() As FieldName in the SQL default value box but this does not work.

Up 0 Down	Hi. This has come up a few times and there are a couple threads related to this... Can you please try and cast your New(D) as nvarchar (36)? I think this is what you need to do before you can properly return the value as a SQL Default. Thanks, Chad

	Hi Chad I tried adding this in the Default value field in advanced field options tab. select CAST(NewId() AS nvarchar(36)) as Token. It doesn't give me a value in the token field of my form. - David Amm 1/27/2014
