Upload an image and then display it on the page

Is it possible to upload an image and then display it on the page while the user completes the rest of the form in Dynamic Forms?

  • HI Robin, so let me try and understand this. While a user is filling out a dynamic forms page by typing in stuff on textbox, you want an image to display? Is the image dynamic or will it be the same image that's stored somewhere under admin / file manager?

Or do you want to have a file upload button that the user chooses, and then the user picks image from his local computer, to display the image somewhere on the dynamic forms page?

  • Hi Chad,

The second! Though I also want to save the image that they upload. The idea is they upload their image and it displays while they fill in the rest of the form.

  • HI, instead of a file upload, there's an Image Upload with the "Preview" option that you can check and set to "automatic". Please try this approach and see if it will work for you.

  • Chad, that is exactly what I needed. I'll try it tonight. Thanks so much! - Robin A 7/17/2015

  • Hey Chad,

So, I went ahead and added the image upload with preview and enabled preview. However, when I upload an image and click the preview button, I get an hourglass for a moment and then nothing. Am I supposed to put something else on the form to hold the image besides the image button? I can't find any documentation on this. - Robin A 7/22/2015
