Data Springs Modules Community Questions & Answers

Form not using colspan info, unable to make columns

Well, let's see if the screenshot shows up after save....

I cannot get the form to use the colspan field. I keep entering any number in colspan or rowspan or field width, trying to get any response. Only field width causes the cells to change. As I want two rows of two columns, this answer is not sufficient. I'm about to add classes to each field in order to try and force the cells that way, but all documentation points to that I should be able to have two rows of two columns. I cannot give access for security reasons. Are there any settings I can check that might be overriding something?

I do NOT have Display label and field in the same column checked, either, but yet that is also happening. Perhaps the two issues are linked....?

  • HI, under module configuration, there should be a section on Layout. Do you have Responsive chosen or Table chosen? I believe to be able to have two columns, you need to be using Table format and not responsive (div) format.

If using Responsive (div), then you need to apply CSS styling.

  • Well, fields are floating everywhere now, but your suggestion was spot on! Responsive was selected as default. Changing to Tables has made the fields start looking at my wildly large entries ... so now time to push everything into the right place.
    Thank you!

  • No problem. Glad I was able to help.
